The ECMM has established biennial one day educational events (Workshops) that take place between the TIMM meetings and are generally in conjunction with other scientific meetings. The 1^st Workshop was held in 2008 in Istanbul, Turkey with the IUMS Congress.

The 2^nd  workshop took place September 25, 2010 in Milan, Italy, following the two day (September 23- 24) 10^th Congress of Italian Society of Mycologists (FIMUA). 

On June 8-13, 1997 in Salsomaggiore, Parma, Italy, a joint ISHAM-ECMM session was held during 13th ISHAM Congress.

The session entitled "Imported Mycoses in Europe" was chaired by B. Dupont and D. Warnock.

At the 13th Congress of the International Society for Human andAnimal Mycology (ISHAM), which will be held in Parma, Italy, 8-13 June, 1997, a session organized jointly by ISHAM and ECMM will be dedicated to “Imported mycoses in Europe”.

On October 28-31, 2007, the 3rd Trends in Medical Mycology (joint meeting of ECMM and EORTC) took place in Torino, Italy.

Participation: 1200 delegates from 57 countries.
